Interesting all the way around. I'm not sure what to make of it, either. I do tend to think that often culture trumps religion for most people. I've also heard the comment from some people that premarital sex may not be what God wants, but you won't go to hell for it, either. Where we spend eternity sometimes seems more important that our love for and desire to please God.
Having said that, I find it hypocritical when parents are OK with their kids having sex as long as they don't get pregnant. I totally agree with the attitude that having an abortion is worse.
As a Catholic, I'm curious where Catholics would land in that study. Then again, maybe I don't want to know.
I am the parent of past and present teenagers. I've also spent the past 14 years involved in many aspects of youth ministry. In 2002, God laid on my heart a desire to help tear down the fence between Christian parents and their teenagers.
I am, by no means, an expert. I am a parent who shares the same struggles that you do. It is my prayer that, together, we can help each other.
